PLEASANTON, Calif. (KRON) — A wildfire near Pleasanton has caused Foothill Road between Bernal Avenue and Castlewood Drive to close Thursday afternoon, police announced on Twitter. As of 2:46 p.m., residents living in the area of Golden Eagle are asked to evacuate.
Crews are currently responding to this fire, which is reported to be 10-15 acres. According to Cal Fire, one building is involved in this brush/structure fire.
The tweet announcing the traffic alert due to the fire was sent at 2:17 p.m. No other information was immediately available.
